Which one should I chose?

Q: I'm planning a vacation and I'm stuck between two locations on where i want to go. I either want to go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico or somewhere in the British Virgin Islands. Which one in your opinion would be a better place to go? Which is cheaper?

A: You are talking about two very different type of locations. Cabo San Lucas is a busy tourist area. Beautiful stunning coastlines. World class resorts with beautiful white sand beaches but depending what area you choose some beaches are not swim-able. There are strong currents, crashing waves and rips tides. Be sure to check that out if you choose Cabo. Plenty of things to do, whale watching, motorized water sports, sport fishing, hiking, diving and golf. The water is not the blue/aqua of the Caribbean. The water color is dark blue. Some of the resorts are all-inclusive and have nightly entertainment. British Virgin Islands is not as touristy and not as much to do. Swimming, snorkeling, diving, boating or lounging on a nearly deserted beach. Not as many resorts. Best to rent a villa/house in the BVI and a car to get around. Very casual and laid back. Excellent vacation if you are want a relaxing break from your hectic everyday life. The best part that I love about the Virgin Islands is you can ferry to other islands easily. The beaches and the water are awesome. They are both wonderful destinations, my pick for you would depend where you live. If you live on the west coast, it will be a long trip to the BVI and more $$$ for airfare. I would choose based on budget and where you are departing from. You can't go wrong with either locations. Check this link for a idea on cost and what fits your budget. But I would book with a travel agency. Often they can get you better deals. http://www.applevacations.com Good Luck and have a great trip)
