Q: If a Trinidadian woman has been married to a Bahamian man for 18 years, and living in the Bahamas for that period, if she applies for Bahamian citizenship, is she supposed to renounce her Trinidad citizenship? I have seen reports online saying that she doesn't, and then other reports which say that the Bahamas does not recognize dual citizenship. Does anyone know a site to check? Or do you know the answer?

A: See site below and call them. This is the gov't office of immigration and citizenship...the absolute authority on the subject. Do not go by on-line info as sometimes out-of-date info is still on the internet. Call them.
