Q: Alright well my parents are moving from Long Island, New York to the Bahamas for about 2 to 5 years, most likely 5 years, and they're making me go and i really don't want to. I'm going into the 9th grade this year and I'm leaving over winter break in December. When I get down there I'm going to Lyford Cay International School. I just wanted to know, how's the school? Is there any violence, and if so how much? Is there a cell phone policy and if so what is it? Do you stay in school for lunch? What are the lunches usually? What sports do they have? Is it a strict school? If you can tell anything and everything about the school it would be very appreciated. Thank you !

A: My daughter goes to Lyford and is it a very good school. It is located on a very nice place here in Nassau. Academically, it is good. The campus is very clean and it has a pool, soccer field. 15 to 17 kids per class. It is a private school and there is no violence at all.THe school is located on a gated community. THey have a cafeteria and you can bring your own lunch. You cannot use cell phones during class. They have swimming, soccer, track and field, drama, arts and crafts. I like it. My daughter is in the 3rd grade and this is her 2nd year. She loves it. here is the website. http://www.lyfordcayschool.net/ Are you comming with the US Embassy? Hope this helps.
