Q: Has anyone gone or are planning to go to Aruba? Me & my FH are thinking about it. If so, would you mind answering the following: 1) What resort did you/are you staying at? 2) What site/agency did you book ot through? 3) Appx how much did it cost ? &, was it all-inclusive? 4) How far in advance did you book it? When was/is your wedding? 5) How long did/are you staying there? 6) Other opinions/comments? Thanks for all your help!
A: 1. The Marriott Renaissance in Oranjestad. 2. We booked it directly through the hotel. 3. We got a deal at less than $150 a night. We also researched prices and tracked them for months, and we got a little lucky. It was not all-inclusive, but we didn't mind because their private island more than made up for it. 4. Several months. We kept watching for the best prices and did a lot of research. That's the best way to get great rates. The closer you wait till your trip date, the more they get booked and the higher their rates go. It's all about supply and demand. Also just ask them when they have the best rates or look them up online. 5. Nine days. 6. Aruba is a place you go for a quiet vacation mainly to relax on the beach. You don't go there for shopping, nightlife and other activities that are more popular in the touristy places like Cancun and Bahamas. Again, the Renaissance's private island was so sweet that it became one of our favorite vacations ever.
