Q: I am getting married in march of 2009. My future in laws want us to use their marriott timeshare. Based on that we have limited choices, We are currently looking at aruba. But i have read that there are a ton of lizards and that they get into the rooms and such... We live in California and have both been to hawaii so we would like to try something different... Ideas??? How is aruba??? Is the reptile/bug/lizards/snake a big thing??? HELLPP!!! In addition to this question, when is a good time to go to aruba? our wedding is on march 21, 2009. If we go the week following our wedding, will it be swarrming with spring breakers? What about april??? Ideas? When is spring break of 2009? and do a lot of people go to aruba for spring break??? Any thoughtS??
A: I stayed at the Marriott in Aruba a couple years ago and they do have Iguanas in a tropical area near the pool. But they stayed in that area and on the rocks and they are big enough for you to see very easily. So they will not be scurrying around under foot. Because of their size they cannot get into the hotel, not that they would want to. The hotel has a huge pool area so you can sit a long way away from them and you will also likely spend more time on the beach than near where they are. The hotel is otherwise great and you will have a great time at it.
